Hmm...I don't know about that test. I probably share your political leanings, but a lot of people use "socialist" as an epithet. Oh, you want free health care, and good public schools, and the right to form and join labor unions, civil rights for everyone, so you're a socialist.
The alternative, having Wal'Mart as the nation's largest employer (which it is), doesn't occur to the people who watch Bill O' Reilly and do the name calling.
I'm a Democrat - I beat you on being socially permissive (70%), but I'm more economically conservative (36% permissive there). Actually, I'd call it being economically pragmatic, but whatever.

I took one of them tests once. It told me my views were even split between Alan Keyes and Al Gore. Wow.
If I saw Alan Keyes on the street, I'd spit on him.
